The brotherhood of the Campbell’s, with their huge exuberant sound, are truly a duo of dynamic proportion. Adept, high caliber piping is the essence to making this duo flexible to any venue.
Forged from the traditional pipe band ranks, the Campbell brothers have chanted their melodies in a World Champion Pipe Band. Other performances with The Irish Rovers, John McDermott and The Chieftains, have followed this duo’s captivating style and sound.
An energized and impacting performance in Needfire, a Mirvish production garnered the attention of EMI records, and a record deal was signed. The Campbell brother’s now gave concept to a new name, Mudmen. Mudmen are a heart pounding stylized sound of rock, overlaid with the traditional sound of the Campbell brothers and their piping extraordinaire. Fast-forward to performances on Canada’s Music Network, Much Music, 6 video’s and 3 albums later, the Mudmen were soon opening for bands such as, Biff Naked, The Guess Who, Tea party and others. The Campbell brothers have a strong commitment to Canada, and have had the honour of performing in various Canadian venues, including appearances at the prestigious Governor Generals Awards, the Walk of Fame, and as representatives for Canadian tourism promotions, in various European venues.
